The Unemployment Pages

I've liked the Ramones for a long time and I feel like this should really affect me, but it doesn't, not really. The Ramones didn’t change my life; they really weren’t even that good as musicians.

But now, three of the original four Ramones are gone and I feel like we’re slowly losing something. It’s not we’ve all been looking forward to a new album by them (because we know it would sound just like all of their other albums) they didn’t stray too far from what worked for them. I think that it’s just that their music was familiar to most, if you knew one song by the Ramones; you’d know most of them. If you liked the three chords they used in this song, just wait, they’ll use them again in this next song.

It’s hard to sort through all of the crappy music that’s on the radio these days and even harder to find something worth listening to. But it’s nice to always have the Ramones to fall back on. It’s just fun, pointless music.
