It's Getting Closer

Three more days and Maggie and I will be on the road heading to California. We're at the point now where we are making sure we have all we need for the trip. Snacks, a first-aid kit, soda pop, water, spare tire, chains, maps and all of the other important items. Of course, what could be more important than music on a road trip? (maybe gas...maybe). Not only do we have to decide what music we want to hear on the road, we need to decide what we want to listen to once we get there. The cds we don't pick will be in a moving truck somewhere for a while.

What to do?

Yes, make mix-cds. That's a brilliant idea. Well, guess what. For some reason, none of the cd burning programs on the computer want to work anymore. I can burn all of the data cds I want; but no music. It's not the end of the world but I have been looking forward to making some road trip cds.

What's really weird is that when I moved out to Kansas, my computer at home decided it wouldn't make me cds anymore either. It must be some sort of computer conspiracy to make my long drives a little more uncomfortable. Who knows.

P.S. Anyone know of a good, free cd burning/ripping program? Let me know if you do.
