New And Improved
I have decided that it is time for me to give something back to the blogging community. I'm going to start posting mp3s every chance I get. I'll start by putting out some of the harder to find tracks that I have on the computer. Since a lot of the tracks I want to put on here are only on vinyl, I'll be sure to get them up as soon as I get my record player up and running again.
Years ago, before everyone was going nuts over the New Pornographers, Daniel Bejar was hard at work releasing albums under the name Destroyer. Destroyer's "The Temple" 7", Released back in 1999, was the first recording I heard by Destroyer and remains one my favorite Destroyer/New Pornographer related releases to this day. If you've already heard Destroyer's "Thief" album you'll be familiar with the track "The Temple" but the version on the single is a little different and a little better (I think). The B-side is a different version of the track "Loves Of A Gnostic" originally released on Destroyer's "City Of Daughters" album.
Anyway, give it a listen. If you like what you hear, support the artist, track down the 7" and buy it.
